We are looking for Photovoltaic Scientists to be responsible for conducting research and development to improve the efficiency and production of large-area solar cells. The ideal candidate will have expertise in roll-to-roll compatible coating, thin film deposition technology, and solution-processed slot-die coating.
- Conduct research and development to improve the production and efficiency of large-area solar cells
- Utilize roll-to-roll compatible coating and thin film deposition technology to improve solar cell performance
- Develop and optimize solution-processed slot-die coating techniques
- Formulate and test inks for use in solar cell fabrication- Conduct experiments to understand and improve film formation
- Analyze and interpret data to improve cell efficiency
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and materials
- Manage inventory tracking of materials used in the research and development process
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the production process
- Communicate results and progress to team members and stakeholders- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Photovoltaic technology and research
- Strong knowledge of roll-to-roll compatible coating, thin film deposition technology, and solution-processed slot-die coating
- Experience with Design Of Experiments and Quality Control processes
- Proficient in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering principles
- Knowledge of nanotechnology engineering and its application in solar cell production
- Prior experience working with air and moisture-sensitive inorganic materials
- Familiarity with organic and organometallic nanomaterials is a plus.
Benefits
Competitive base salary ($110,000-$160,000)
