Paralegal - Settlement Coordinator

Position Overview
The Paralegal - Settlement Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the settlement process by coordinating with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate preparation of legal documents and compliance with legal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of settlement documents and agreements
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records throughout the settlement process
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, ensuring favorable terms for clients
  • Draft legal correspondence and documents with attention to detail
  • Coordinate with various parties involved in the settlement process, including insurance companies and medical providers
  • Conduct legal research as needed to support settlement negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal procedures and regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in settlement negotiation preferred
  • Proficient in legal writing and document preparation
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and other stakeholders
