We have developed into a full-service general engineering contracting company that specializes in work for the private sector in recent years. The business currently develops and oversees public sector projects, residential subdivisions, and commercial site development across Southern California as well as heavy civil/highway projects across the state.

Position Overview
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role is crucial in determining project feasibility and profitability, ensuring that all costs are accounted for in the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including excavation and paving.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather relevant information for estimating.
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to produce comprehensive estimates.
Participate in the bidding process, providing accurate estimates and responding to inquiries from clients.
Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction process to ensure accuracy and adherence to estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator with a focus on excavation and paving projects.
Strong understanding of CALTRANS regulations and requirements.
Proficiency in project management software, such as Hard Dollar and Primavera.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in estimating costs and quantities.
