Electrical Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that all project requirements are considered. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our project management team and ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to identify electrical scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations, including materials, labor, and overhead.
Collaborate with project managers and other estimators to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
Analyze bid proposals and make recommendations based on project cost analysis.
Maintain and update a database of pricing for materials and labor rates.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for estimates.
Provide support during the bidding process and respond to inquiries from contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrical estimator in a commercial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
Proficient in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
