Position Overview:
The Estimator will play a pivotal role in accurately forecasting project costs and ensuring the financial feasibility of our construction projects. Based in beautiful Mt. Pocono, PA, we are a dynamic, innovative, and growth-focused construction company that specializes in steel erection and fabrication. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for steel construction projects, including labor, materials, and timeframes.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost estimates align with project goals.
Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change.
Maintain a comprehensive database of labor rates, material costs, and other relevant data.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience with:
Estimating within the steel industry.
Understanding labor rates and calculating project hours.
Preparing bids and cost projections for large-scale construction projects
Nice to Have:
Experience with stack estimation is a plus
Proficiency in estimating software.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
