Job Title: Project Cost Controller
Location: Miami, FL
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
Position Overview: This project Project Cost Controller responsible for monitoring the financial life cycle of construction projects from the start of the bidding procedure to the end. The cost controller is well-versed in all aspects of construction accounting, including project reporting of actual spend to budget, processing of payment applications, and billing.
Responsibilities:
In charge of all operational, financial, and reporting aspects for a range of sizable commercial and infrastructure construction projects
Paying for supplies, rentals, labor, and subcontractors for business projects
Examine and comprehend any disparity (either improvement or difference) between the expenses and the budget.
Handle applications for subcontractAttend project status meetings and support the project with cost reviews and other financial information.or payment (G702 and G703) checking contract amounts, subcontract terms, and paperwork needs (insurance, W-9s, lien releases, and licenses).
Collaborate with the project manager to verify the accuracy of the change orders and budget in order to guarantee a smooth billing procedure.
Accountable for checking monthly actuals against the budget and working with the project manager to ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with contract specifications.
Communicate clearly with the project manager, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding financial matters to guarantee that any problems are promptly fixed.
Attend project status meetings and support the project with cost reviews and other financial information.
Carry out a variety of moderately complicated specialist accounting tasks and make sure that processes and guidelines are adhered to in line with business guidelines, GAAP, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
4+ years of cost control or cost accounting experience
Experience with SAP preferred
Experience with ProCore or ProjectSight preferred
Construction experience preferred
